Thank you very much for coming in and clarifying. You are quite correct that my Surface is the most expensive one sold. Most here would not need to drop that kind of coin since they aren't planning on running full visual studio or big apps like that on a tablet.

The hardware of the Surface RT for just under $300 is just as nice as the hardware for more expensive one. The difference is process, HDD size, and RAM.
