I have been using this for about 48 hours and getting the kinks worked out.
I take the 14 inch chromebook (only have one) for 279 dollars which I use chrome remote desktop running my main computer which powers all my printers, so printing locally or through Updox has not been an issue.
I am going to replicate this in my other exam room but for 169 dollars I plug my chromebook into the 24 inch samsung TV and as I am working in the chart during exam mirror this on the TV. ( I just checked it is the 24 not 22 inch TV)--as I initially typed in.
If I need to stream any videos for teaching, I unhook my remote desktop and with the solid state drive the chromebook does this nicely without introducing malware or viruses into your system.
I am only using the singular chrome remote desktop so cannot speak about the 2x hookup.
I have not used the surface tablet either, but saw James' at Laramie and it looked pretty slick.
Good luck on finding what works best.
