At one point this was something that even AC said they were looking into, folks wanted it, and then it just sort of went dark. Perhaps we should start a new "Line thru it" thread to get it back up on top again. In general we have wanted a way to allow a doc to say; "oh darn I forgot to add that one symptom or last instruction I told Mr Smith" and then allow them to add that extra line or two to that already saved encounter, not a separate addendum or visit, like we presently have to. As you said it is a paper thing that providers do every day, so it would only make working sense to get such a feature into any good EMR. And we still want to be able to just change the darn date of the encounter. How many times have you tightened up charts on weekend and forgot you were really finishing up that last Thursday's visits??? Happens all the time, but in paper you can quickly fix, but not here right now.
