Then, go to Scheduled Tasks in Control Panel or Admin Tools, Add Scheduled Task, then just go through the wizard.

You have to point it to your batch file (I usually save them to the root of c:\ so I can find them easily)

You may also be able to just go to the service, choose the recovery tab, and change the "Take No Action" to "Restart."

I also sent four or five emails from Experts-Exchange outlining various methods that may help.

I know it should just work, but these are just some ideas to possibly fix it for now.
