1. You don't have to turn interactions off permanently. Just for troubleshooting. Turn them off. Problem goes away and Steven is correct.

2. Weird idea, but take the battery out of the laptop and run it straight on electricty. See if that fixes it.

3. Definitely need to make sure you have the newest drivers.

4. Anytime you use wireless, be ready for the consequences.

5. After doing the battery thing, then plug it with Ethernet into switch. You can't plug it directly into the main computer without either, switch, hub (wouldn't use that) or using a crossover cable.
