For the reception area we have a Brother MFC-8860 DN and have been happy with that. It does not have a high capacity scanner though (but we don't scan in old charts).
For my personal office I have a Lexmark Pinnacle Pro 901. Saves my lazy self from having to walk down the hall to make a copy or scan a document, plus the print ink (B&W) is only 1 cent a page.
