Point 1:
Are you sure about the SSDs? MLC aren't recommended for enterprise applications and SLC SSDs are quite expensive. Another thing is that there haven't been any longevity studies conducted on SSDs. Sure they are fast, but I would be hesitant to implement them in a business. Price per GB is still quite high compared to enterprise HDDs.

Point 2:
You should look into AMDs new processors that are set out to be released Q3 this year, the Interlagos, 16 core and the Valencia, 8 core. They are supposed to be much faster than their Opteron counterparts.
