Hi all, still using peer to peer but contemplating server/client. Really basic question- if using Windows Server 2008, how are CALs measured? I'm guessing the server does not count, each client does. How are these counted? Does each PC or laptop that has the ability to log on count as one separate CAL, or does each currently logged on count? Or, to state this differently, if I had 3 backup laptops, not in use at same time as main laptops, would they need separate CALs?
