I guess I don't see the big deal. But, it is one more click.
Actually, just think that instead of Preview Print it said "Select Printer". Same clicks, just a different way of looking at the options.
The only other way would be to have all of the possible printers listed and you could select them with one click. But sometimes there are so many different printers attached to a computer you would be lost in the list.
The functionality is the same, it just combines preview and select printer into one choice:^)
