Nothing can be cheaper & more secure than having your own fax line and receiving your faxes in PDF.
That way you avoid printing any faxes.
Even the forms that need filled and signed are done by Adobe or any form filler you choose.
There might be huge medicolegal implications as far as I am concerned with patient privacy issues.
Moreover AC makes it so easy to print progress notes or the entire chart as a PDF by choosing the PRINT PREVIEW button and saving them as PDF files.
You can then fax anything you need via your networked fax machine
These are just my thoughts and how I function in my office
