Ok, so I just visited the CMS website and am looking for how to qualify for the 2% bonus for 2010 for eprescribing. If you eprescribe 25 times during an encounter in this calendar year you qualify for the bonus. There is a list of registries that can validate/report for you. Surescripts was not on that list so I guess the only way to qualify for 2010 is to report a G code and cost of $0.00 on your claim form with the encounter claim. It is 25 scripts or 10% of medicare encounters or something like that. With a whole quarter left in the year, I don't think it is too late to do this. Has anyone else done this or know how to do it. I keep getting all these proposals for how I'm going to get some of this meaningful use money but so far this is the only thing I see as doable this year. Anybody with any suggestions. AC is not listed as one of the registries that can report for us and qualify for money this year at the CMS website. That is unless there is a plan to be there before the end of Jan 2011. Anybody know any specifics?
