Although not often useful to print out inactive medications, I recently needed this function when trying to fill out a prior authorization for a patients medication. They wanted documentation that they had tried another (cheaper) medication before they would approve. Being able to print out the inactive meds and showing the dates would have been helpful.
I agree that the print function should print out what you have selected in the medication window active, inactive or all.
On a related matter, it would be nice to have time parameters for prescriptions, such as ten days for a course of antibiotics and when the time expired they would be moved from active to inactive automatically. Would save a lot of time cleaning up the medication list.
