Amazing Charts Meaningful Use Update:
We have recently completed a gap analysis of where we are and where we need to be regarding Meaningful Use. We currently meet all but one of the 15 core rules and 8 of 10 of the menu set. We are planning on meeting all 25 guidelines and being fully certified, before the end of the year. Also, we will have a tool within the program that will allow you to generate your necessary reports quickly and easily. Our goal is not just to meet Meaningful Use guidelines, but to do so in line with our philosophy of keeping Amazing Charts functional and easy to use.
As you probably know, testing bodies will likely be certified by the end of August and testing will likely begin at the end of September (after the final rules have been out for 60 days). We plan to be ready for testing at that time. While there will likely be a long queue of other EHR programs in line for testing, we expect it will proceed quickly given the short time between then and the beginning of 2011.
CMS did anticipate this situation, and that is why they only require providers to use a certified EHR for 90 days during 2011 to get full reimbursement. However, we are planning on being fully certified for Meaningful Use before the end of the year.
More to come as we move closer to releasing our Meaningful Use compliant version.
