I am afraid to write this, because I am sure you have already done it. But, whene the spell checker comes up, click on options at the bottom, and the Spell Checker Options window will open. You then can click that one off.
Keep in mind that each spell checker and each userdic.tlx (which is editable is Notepad as well) is specific to each client. Which is silly, but that is the case.
