I have just purchased AC, but have not yet implemented it. I was also considering eClinical Works as a hosted service by my local hospital that would have solved one of my biggest obstacles, namely accessing the system from a remote office, or from home. I am neurologist and use Dragon to enter most of the encounter visit. I have noted many people on the board suggest LogMeIn, which is pretty good, but the screen redraws are slow due to my rural location and rather low DSL speed. I was trying to figure out how to use LogMeIn, Hamachi, or a VPN to allow for the use of Dragon from the remote site. I suspect this is not possible with a simple screen control program like LogMeIn, but might be possible with Hamachi or VPN. Is this a situation where I really need a Server/Client. Also hoping not to spend a large amount of money for ongoing IT services. Any help most appreciated.
