I do have the 3gs and have become more used to navigating on iphone's safari browser. It was very cumbersome at first but I have gotten used to it.
The LogMeIn Ignition app for the iPhone does not require using the Safari browser to log in or control your remote computer. It is much faster than Safari on the iPhone 3GS.
