Thank you for bringing this to our attention! We have been able to replicate the bug, and have determined the cause - and we agree completely that this could potentially lead to a signficant medicolegal issue if a provider is not able to prove they had handled the abnormal result.
Here is our plan:
1. We will put out a new version (4.0.73) to fix the sign-off issue. We hope to have this released by the end of this week.
2. We will post a Critical Issue Announcement to all Amazing Charts users (which you should see when first logging into the program), and which will direct users to a
webpage where the issue will be discussed. (There is also another potential critical issue with the Synchronization Utility which we are still investigating.)
