That is correct, you will not see any SQL Express listed in Add/Remove Programs as it installs as an instance of SQL Server 2005.

The first thing I would suggest would be to go into services (use the Run window and type services.smc) and insure you have ten services running for SQL. You should have the basic three, MSSQL Services under M of course, and then you should have seven services listed under SQL Service which will include AmazingCharts. All of these should be present and ALL should be running. If not, turn them on and see what happens. If they are not all there, then your install is off.

Also, make sure you download every last download that Microsoft says you are missing.
