Bert's right. In fact, sometimes AC will ask us if we want to recover a note when the system crashes. This also works w/o a system crash. As long as you don't open any other notes you can open the last note backup and go on. I am like Sky, I often end up opening several other things before coming back to the last note and by then, it's too late.
Still wish the default was saving a note rather than deleting.
