Hello All,

Rather than pick diagnoses from the Assessment list and then copy them to the HPI, why not be able to right click in HPI and access previous diagnoses. This would create a list in HPI and, hopefully, also create a list in Assessment.

Hello Chuck,
I am trying to understand what you want to do. Can you let me help me understand this better? thanks

Hi Vicki,

I have ~5-8 running diagnoses that I comment on for a given patient visit. Since these specific diagnoses are in the ICD-9 field when I click on it, to populate the Assessment field, I know they are readily available. Ie the 8 likely topics I'm going to discuss today are ready to go when I'm going to complete my assessment and plan.

Currently, I have to click on each diagnosis, have it show up in the assessment field. then copy it to the HPI. I'd like the ability to have these more accessible in the HPI while the patient is sitting in front of me. I can scroll down each diagnosis in the problem list and only have it print in the HPI if something is noteworthy. Perhaps Alt-Right click could trigger the diagnosis list?

I like the idea of an active problem list. It would be nice if it was accessible from any aspect of the chart.

What I currently do is copy all the dx into my pmh section. This section can be carried forward with each note.

Good luck and keep up the good work for your patients.
