Beau,
Motel 6 and Lake Powell, Glenn Canyon, you are my type of guy. Damn we need to do this. Now you're a wheeler. I hear that there are some modest trails that go around the back side of Lake Powell out there, yes? Are they possibly "stock" Jeep like? Could some folks rent stocker, be they Grands or what have you or would we at least need to get a fleet of stock Rubicon? I'll take a stock Rubicon 4 door Unlimited with AC and an Auto Tranny. Stay nice and cool, room for the kids and stuff... How 'bout folks???

OK, Beau, so can we count on you with Jim's help to set up next summer's ACUC. It will be from a Friday through Sunday (not the first Sunday but the next). Gotta get started now.

YIPEE!! I vote for making it a longer program schedule but leave some free time where nothing is planned so we can venture out. The last ACUC there was something going on most all the time and it made it hard to see the sights. In fact, something like afternoon/evening meetings Wed, all day meetings on Thurs with the wine and cheese get-together, morning on Fri, nothing on Sat and morning meeting Sunday. That way we can fly in Wednesday morning and fly out Sunday afternoon.

I love doing tourist stuff during the weekdays, less crouds, shorter lines. So how about more free time during the weekdays and more work during the weekends. Think Disney World or Land....

So, when is the next ACUC meeting?

I'm struggling with implementing AC in a 5 provider practice...

No one has yet taken on the task. Haven't seen Jim on the boards for quite a while. Bert and I have discussed it briefly and favor somewhere in the southwest...Phoenix??

Jon and I briefly discussed the next ACUC meeting when I met him at the AAP meeting in October. We bounced around ideas from Chicago to Boston.

Since the last one was in the midwest, I figured the next one should be near one of the coasts. Then again, Chicago is easy and relatively less expensive to get to (expensive to stay however).

Anyone have any ideas? We should start hashing out some ideas soon. And no, I do not want to take this on as my pet project (about number 445,000 and that's moving it up on the list.)

Again, I vote for Phoenix. Easy access from just about everywhere, reasonable airfares and lots to do in the area (yea right, like any of us did much of anything in Branson except go to the meetings).

I vote for Bangor, Maine. Not much to do (except Bar Harbor), but it is well worth the trip to visit with Adam and me. lol.

The Grand Canyon and Bryce area, etc. is fine with me.

Sky,

Sorry, didn't see your question.

Why are you struggling? What are you specific issues and questions?

Oh! I'll go for Phoenix, then the only issue is enjoy the ride there on the bike or bring the 4X4 so I can take Leslie and everyone for a ride in the South West Desert. (Fortunately I have a motorcycle trailer!!) This will be a great time where ever we wind up.
