When upgrading to the beta, I noticed all of the spellcheck items I have entered throughout the year has disappeared and now have to reidentify words one by one as they appear. Is it only happening to me? Anyone noticed whether the spellcheck actually saves corrections to chart notes? In the previous version, after running the spellcheck, it would frequently not save the changes (and retain the original error) which was only identifiable after the note was finalized.

It saves most of them. There are a couple it just never saves and I have to check on every chart. This was the same in version 3.1 and 3.5. I did not notice that my spellcheck words were deleted. Perhaps they were. I did note that it seems to turn itself off randomly. This is old from 3.1 as well.

I have been using AC since Sept. 2006. Noticed that spellcheck does not save the corrected words. But does correct them on the veiwing screen. I reported the problem in Dec.2006 to support. After hours on the phone, multiple phone calls and down load from my computer AC support told me to turn off spellcheck??? Then they told me the spellcheck would be fixed in their next release. This is a real pain. I sent out many consult notes with spelling errors.

Yes - our spell check does need work! It was a rather inexpensive version we used to avoid increasing our cost, and it is on our TODO list as our other features are enhanced, but currently I've held off on updating it as we work on more lab interfaces, practice management issues, and patient online services.
Sorry for the frustration with it.
