Some have asked what is the goal for the 2024 ACUF July funding. This year we would like to see at least $1,000 which would cover my cost of hosting the forum -- I make no profit -- and at least $700 for Ruben who manages the forum. He just updated and moved the board to another host with more functionality. If we get up to $1,000 for Ruben this year, we will donate the remainder to Docs Without Borders (unless others prefer a different type of charity).

This board has new features although I will let Ruben chime in on that The likes are back which can best be used here

//acusersforum.com/ub/ubbthreads.php/topics/79342/how-to-make-recommendations#Post79342

to help Brother Jon (Jon Bertman) see which suggestions are a priority.

If you have any questions, please ask Ruben or me or any of the mods on the board.

Just a tip to those who don't know there are 19 themes you can use to make the board look like you want. These are found at the bottom.

So donate and help us keep the board functioning the best.

Donated. Progress indicator? x/10? Helps motivate group get to a goal.

Ohh dark theme. It's the "UBBT77" button.

Let's all "like" the EPCS controlled sub thread. Top priority.

We have 4 donations, two of which do not even use AC. Looking for at least 10 donations.

I donated today so we are at least halfway there!

I am just bumping this. I know most of us have to convert offshore holdings to have cash for the "little people". Soooo tedious. That being said, these AC Board maintainers are really helping the rest of us, and deserve some small recompense / show of appreciation. If you have found this board useful in the last year, help keep it going with a donation!

And, have a nice day!

I was ready to donate $50, but it was not an option.
So sorry, but let me know if that can be done.

Every tip counts. Yes, you can send a PayPal payment directly to badams AT riverviewpediatrics.org. Of course, change the AT to @.

Thanks ACZ, Let me say I have had conversations with Bert and I assure you he does not keep any of the money donated. There is no one on the board that is a paid employee and this is not funded by Harris! A sale of one stock from Harris' corporate owner would allow the board to run for 3 YEARS.

So yes $50 will help and I hope others see this and follow your lead. I feel the board is valuable and have seen users come and go. There is a lot of information on here not just for AC but for life's curves. I was just reading an old post form around the time of COVID, there are some nuggets of wisdom in some of those posts. The $1000 for Ruben to keep this board open is cheap therapy for us!

THANKS RUBEN

I appreciate the support and the comments by some recommending donations. I was going to say something on the 20th. I will be straight with you -- this is the worst year for donations. Is $100 too much? I don't think so. Even with more donations when we used $50 and $75 we didn't quite make the goal.

Ruben and I would do it for nothing and I would take the financial hit for paying for the domain and the hosting. But Ruben shouldn't do this for free. The amount of work behind the scenes (which he does without my asking) is a lot and very good. The board is kept up to date. The board is backed up by him. He watches for the times to update. And, I pay for a daily backup by INMOTION.

The board not only provides valuable information, it provides a collegial atmosphere that can't be replaced. Misery loves company. I don't want to make it sound like we need help from any other source. Newbies and those who don't use the board much, I wouldn't expect to donate. But those who do quite a bit, I would think they would. Thank you.

SOME USERS WEREN'T HERE WHEN THE BOARD CRASHED WITH NO BACKUP. It was the other board. It won't happen here.

Glad to contribute my $100. Just checked the site to shout that AC Cloud is down and saw the donation request. Suggestion - email the forum members, I confess to only checking this forum when I have an issue.

I know it doesn't correlate with what the ticker says, but we are $200 away from our goal of $1200. I never extend the fund drive past August 31. If we don't get it, we just don't get it. I guess that makes sense.

Just so you know, if you donated, you can go to Edit Profile at the top right by clicking on your name, and select to show the icon of the hand dropping a coin.

Sorry I missed the opportunity. I'm been a lurker here for quite a while. Any chance we can open it back up and pay it forward for next year?

You can make any contribution directly to me at badams@riverviewpediatrics.org smile

Don't be a lurker. We want your input.
