It would be nice to have a way to delete a particular medication from everyone's active medication list or inactivate. Here is a list I have come up with:
albendazole amoxicillin amoxicillin-clavulinic acid Augmentin azithromycin cefdinir cefpodoxim e cefzil cephalexin cimetidine cipro ciprofloxacin ciprodex . . . Zithromax
Especially with the med list as antibiotics tend to stay in if the patient's med list is not reconciled at every visit.

I try to remember to put the number of days in the "Course" box for antibiotics, usually 1 day more than the actual duration of the antibiotics, and they will automatically become inactive after those days. I will also try to do it for time limited medication courses (like prednisone taper, oral or topical medications for rashes, etc)
