Hi everyone,

Need to purchase a new dragon software for the office, the old version is not supported by win11. There are 2 choices:

1. Dragon medical one, supported by Nuance, but very expensive. Besides the one time charge of ~$600, each user pays ~$100 per month.

2. Dragon mecical practice 4.3, old version. Not supported by Nuance anymore. But the seller says it works with win11, and will work with win13 in the future. Only a one time payment of ~$1200 for 2 users.

Do you have experience with either one of the above?

Thank you for your sharing in advance,

Cindy

Hi Cindy.

I would caution against going with an old, unsupported version. While it may work, it is not receiving any regular updates. Therefore the fact that it works now could change in an instant with a security patch from Windows.

Amazing Charts is also a reseller for Dragon Medical, and I think we can do a little better on that pricing that what that reseller is offering. You can reach out to us directly either at sales@amazingcharts.com, or me directly at mdabeck@harriscomputer.com. We can get you set up.

Will be interesting to see how Dragon does in the future with all of the new AI technology coming to the market.

Yes, there are a lot AI based systems out there, I have not tried one yet. I am just so used to Dragon. Maybe someone could share their experience on AI with us?

Best,
