So for the life of me I can't remember if this was done differently before or my AC is just weird or if I am just not recalling correctly. After printing an order, you click on Send Orders at the bottom right. You get a pop-up window that says Orders Sent. Where? You close the window. I could have sworn that before it would go to your In Box as ORDERS: the name of the patient and the date of the lab and you just save them to the patient and it ends up in Past Encounters. But that doesn't happen now. It does go to the overall list of orders on the Main Screen.

To the left of the print orders button is a box where you choose where the orders go. Perhaps you were sending them to yourself previously, but now the box is changed and they are going to someone else's message box.

This brings up a couple of questions... the kind of thing that could be addressed at a user meeting...

How do you use the "saving orders" section?
And when do you just print and when to you send them?

When I do an order I just print it and either give to patient or give to staff.
The only reason I can see to send it is if someone is reconciling the order (and we do not).

What do others do?
