We would VERY much like be able to load in to an inventory the medications we have on hand, the lot number, expiration date, etc and have AC deduct from those numbers as they are charted/used. We have a fair number of keying errors when it comes to medications, and I feel like this would minimize them.

YES!!! We need this for vaccine inventory.

Like each vaccine lot # is put into a program/AC database and when we enter vaccines in AC we can select the lot # and that info gets entered into the vaccine screen - the lot #, CPT code, expiration date, VIS date, vaccine route. And every time the vaccine is used, the inventory changes so weekly/daily we can count what's left in the fridge and it should match the inventory. Keeping accurate inventory is required for VFC providers.

Right now in AC we have type in each of these manually - obviously it takes too long for us pediatric clinics that give so many vaccines a day. Plus, like Sabbath said, ripe for errors when you have to type in a bunch of numbers and dates. And there's no built-in inventory mechanism.

Actually I use Bert's VIPER program do this right now. (It connects to the AC database.) But there is no support for VIPER, it's many years old. I can't get it installed on a new computer. I'm just keeping the old Windows 10 computers with VIPER around just to use the program.

The VIPER program as well as File Assistant Pro are/were amazing. The best software program devleoped as many will tell you is Amazing Labels.

The problem is, Ed who is a brilliant programmer, doesn't work on these full time or the versions would have been many more by now.

Viper was absolutely the quickest and accurate way to enter vaccines developed. F. A. P is still basically rock solid but needs the Win 11 updates. And, Amazing Labels, well, it has saved us multiple times with getting labs trashed.

I will talk to Ed. Meanwhile, shoot me an email and let me know your problems. I just installed it on Windows 11 Pro no problem. You may also be able to install it on the virtual machine you can make on Windows 11 and run it there.
