Please Please Can we have rich text in our notes and letters. I have been suggesting and asking this for years. It would make our notes look so much better and neat.

Sorry, Raj, what are you asking to do? A different text style or a format that can be moved between word processors and operating systems? I am not as tech savvy as others so I don't know what you mean.

Bring up the letter writer. Notice all the fonts you can choose. How big, how bold, etc. He would like to be able to do that in the chart as well.

AHA! I agree with that, but on that subject the letter writer has a lot to be desired, will see how it is in the latest version.

I know we have said before that when reports are pulled up we want the font to be bigger. This has not changed with 11.5. You open imported, lab report, screen opens smaller then increase screen size and the font stays the same.

No, not when it comes in from the lab interface.

The main text in notes and hl7 labs and the graphic interface seems to be from ancient GUI code. It is not high-res friendly. We should be able to use a super high res screen and have super sharp text of any size we want. Using a high-res large screen and scaling generates fuzziness from scaling or a misshaped interface .

The only current way to general larger readable text is to use a lower-res large screen (27" 1080p screen). Text is large, but ugly low res pixelated.

I think this would require a major code update. We can all try requesting high-dpi friendly GUI. My guess is no one requests this due to not knowing what to ask for, hence AC never thinks about doing it.

So here's how I think we can solve this - pull the info from the letter writer, and run it through an LLM (like chatGPT's) with a markdown output that the user could easily define via their own prompt.

There are a lot of issues, like PHI - so what type and how the data is transmitted is an issue. Anybody want to help me figure out how best to build this into Amazing Charts and get it out in record time?

can you sketch out (and upload an image of your picture), showing very-roughly how/where you would like to see a button that transforms what is currently there?

P.S. What's up with Maryland's requirements for additional consent for release of various diagnoses/meds (abortion related) to HIEs?

Jon, overkill and expensive.

Mostly we just need updated GUI code - like any modern browser uses where you can change font/ scale/ size without destroying the layout.

Ever try running AC on a high res screen? Tiny or layout messed up or fuzzy text from bad scaling.
