Have we had the problem fixed where the message appears that there is a problem with Adobe Acrobat reader and suggests to exit and try again. Initially this was a small nuisance, but it becomes an issue when signing off a lot of imports. The only way it gets going again if you shut down AC and restart and login. The error will again come up again after signing off a few more imports. I have noticed that people have been using other PDF readers(Fox). Is this the solution to the problem? Has been an issue for years for us.

I have had this issue on and off. Had changed to Foxit Reader per suggestion of AC support on a couple of machines. For some reason, the Adobe issue is not a consistent problem and does not affect all machines. I have been able to move one of the machines that was affected back to Adobe and is working fine. When I do get the error now I just log out of AC and log back in like you said. I usually use this time to take a few minute break. Thankfully it does not happen as often as it was about a year or 2 ago. I don't feel it is an AC problem as much as a Windows/Windows update issue, which would explain why the machines act differently with the same programs.

IMHO, Adobe, though complex and expensive is still better than any other PDF readers around. Have you gone to Help --> Updates and updated it lately?

We went to Foxit years ago and never looked back. No issues with weird messages or compatibility, etc.
All I need for my pdf reader in AC is being able to read pdf's without any hassle.
