We are on AC 11.1.4.

What is the most recent version?

How do we upgrade?

The person responsible for this is gone and I am finding many things out that should have been taken care of.

Thank you

There's a newer version, but as we learn here "if it ain't broken don't fix it."

I'm running 11.1.4 with no issue. Only upgrade after well tested by others and/or you must have some fix/ new function.

The latest released version is 11.3. This version is the CURES Certified version of Amazing Charts. If you are planning on submitting for MIPS for 2023, you will need to upgrade to this version per CMS (They are requiring that practices be using a Cures Certified version from 2023 forward).

You can reach out to our support team for upgrade options. They can be reached by emailing support@amazingcharts.com or clicking this link: https://amazingcharts.com/acsupport/

Thank you.

We are installing a new server and will do the upgrade after that.

How is 11.3 stability/compatibility? Any known bugs/crashes? Anyone on the board with feedback?

We need ntgi to post about how his experienced ended up.

I have a link to the previous discussion about 11.3 and sounds like it was a nightmare.

11.3 mishap

I DM'd ntgi but have not received a reply. Not sure if Mark has any insight on this issue from the perspective of AC. Version 11.4 is going into beta testing soon. I am contemplating doing this testing but can not afford a major disruption as ntgi described.

Hi Chris.

I checked with Support. There was some issues with slowness in the original release of 11.3 (11.3.1). Those have been addressed with the latest release, 11.3.2. No other outstanding issues have been reported.

Thanks for beta testing. It is sorely needed and makes smoother rollouts without the hiccups.

I'd set it up on a separate VM for test only - not production. AC should allow beta testers a 2nd credentialled server.

Nice thing then is you have a "hot" spare AC server running and ready to go if anything happens to the 1st machine. Just restore an AC only backup and good to go.

For that benefit, I'd volunteer to do beta testing. Mark?

Hi Mark@AC,

We are on version 11.1.4 now. Want to upgrade to the newest version, but I am hesitated since one person (ntgi) posted very strong negative reviews about 11.3. Can you please tell us, how many users are using the latest 11.3.2? I just want to know 11.3.2 is stable before the upgrade.

Thank you,

Hi Cindy,

We currently have over 400 practices who have upgraded to V11.3.2 with Amazing Charts. NTGI posted their dissatisfaction 4 months ago, while V11.3 was still in beta. Since that time, we have released the final 11.3.2 version as the general release. I checked with our support managers and there don't seem to be any widespread issues with this version.

Thanks for posting mark, we have not heard from NTGI. I sent him a private message but it has not been read. I hope things have worked out for him. We need updates like yours to feel more confident when we do the upgrades.

I was on version 11.3.1 when a bug apparently was discovered. I was unable to back up to two external hard drives. It backed up on one, then made a copy on another, and then went back and deleted the first one. A total of 11 technicians were involved, including higher-level technicians Nicholas and Chris. Meanwhile, version 11.3.2 became available. I upgraded with no effect on this bug. This issue has been ongoing since mid-June. Very frustrating.

So I got this today from AMAZING CHARTS. "our BETA period has closed and our final build for 11.4 is available to all users starting 9/7/2023". I had sent an email that I would be willing to BETA test but never heard anything until today. I do think I was a little late responding to their email about the BETA testing because I was so unsure about taking that leap. I would be interested to know if anyone on the board did the testing and if not how many offices/providers did get involved.

You can schedule an appointment for the upgrade for a fee or there will be self install option.
"Upgrade Appointment Pricing Information
Main computer/server only: $250.00
Main computer/server plus up to 5 local/workstation computers: $500.00
Each additional local/workstation computer: $50.00"

Chris,

I believe this beta was short. There was not much added to this release beyond a regulatory requirement we needed to get out before October. The main feature added is Electronic Case Reporting, along with adding some specific fields related to that.

Mnemonic,

I checked on this issue and development is working on the issue. They have the fix set for an upcoming release.

Mnemonic. Just backup to one drive. Then have your IT guy write a robocopy scheduled batch copy of one drive to the other.

I installed this for a client and there are a good amount of bugs in it. One is that the Superbills are not generating properly (some patients it takes a day to be visible, others is like 2 weeks) and they are also having an issue with printing prescriptions. Not really any performance upgrades that I can see as one of my clients has a 40 core/80 thread server with 128GB of RAM and nothing but solid state drives and orders and prescribing screens still take between 10-30 seconds to load.
