Hi Everyone!

I wanted to reach out and say that I am still here. I just haven't been able to be active on the forums as much as I used to be. I am working on several new projects here at AC and just find myself not being able to check in and fill you all in with what is going on. I do apologize for that and hopefully I can be a bit more active.

So what is going on at the mother ship? We have brand new leadership in the form of a new SVP and EVP. Jumana Dholkawala is our new EVP and oversees all of the Harris Ambulatory Group (AC, Caretracker, Pulse, Picasso, etc.) and Kristen Heffernan is our new SVP, overseeing Amazing Charts specifically. This leadership has decided that we are going to focus on each product as an individual entity vs a giant team. What does that really mean? Well, we are back to having a dedicated team that works just on Amazing Charts. This is a very good thing and is much needed. I can say that things like bug fixes, old coding clean up (I think there is actually a separate thread about this on here), and feature requests are happening. I personally see feature requests being re-looked at (as I am the one who submitted many of them, some of which came from here) and are taking priority. It definitely feels like a breath of fresh air.

Along with the restructure, leadership had voted to bring back the CAB. Personally, I think this is long overdue, as it was always nice to get providers feedback on the direction of the product. I am hoping some of you will make the list. I believe we are still finalizing the agenda, but the first meeting should be soon. Get your lists ready!

Support has also stepped up a bit. The team had a rough go of it with the SQL upgrade, but they are back to getting things under control. Word is, they are actually answering phone calls now. Keep in mind that outages and emergencies may still back them up, but this team works hard to make sure things get addressed.

As for me, I am still helping people with MIPS. We had a good number of practices submit for this year, and we had a bunch of practices sign up for our MIPS Success Service (basically coaching for MIPS), so I have been busy. I am also working on our acPopHealth platform to improve workflows and keep up with the latest regulations. We will also be looking at bringing back some webinars for AC, specifically around workflow management. If there are other topics you would like to see, please let me know.

Anyway, that is all the information I have now (or at least can tell you at this time). I will try to pop in here more and keep up with everyone. If you ever need to reach out to me directly about anything, just shoot me an email (mdabeck@harriscomputer.com).

I hope everyone is doing well.

Mark,
Thanks so much for posting. I can't tell you how important it is to many of us to get that information. Looking forward to communicating with you more, soon.

Thanks Mark,

Your input is always invaluable. And, the new structure at AC should be helpful. I have noticed that support gets back to me same day on all of my phone calls. I think one of the biggest improvements would be more communication VIA EMAIL. It is always good to know that AC has heard us and is working on it and what things are coming down the pipeline.

After all the complaining, sometimes as I use AC, I marvel at how Jon came up with the prototype. Really so many things work so well.

Count me in on the CAB.

Since I have your attention, I wonder how much AC looks at third party vendors and how they can work with them. I know that DNS works super with AC. I am not sure if there is only one or more vendors. I have two suggestions on that.

1. If the vendors (maybe after one annual year), would consider month to month payments after that.
2. And, if AC developers could work with DNS so you can skip through the boxes, like HPI directly to Physical, rather than having to use the mouse to move it over.

Thanks again.

Hi Bert.

I honestly have no knowledge on the relationship between Harris and 3rd party companies work. I believe things like Updox and DNS bill on their own cycle, so we would have no control over that.

Good point. Then I will just go with my usual opinion. I know the vendor I used would only allow year to year. But Raj1 had some good information and maybe there are more third-party services. I will take this thread to that thread.
