Still on 11.2.0 in the cloud. Anyone on 11.3? With numerous problems with 11.2 upgrade I am hesitant to say the least about upgrading. Spoke with another company who does forms management and they have e-prescribing using Surescripts. Since we already use Surescripts in AC for pharmacy history, I wish they would dump Newcrap and stop all the problems they cause.

Do NOT upgrade to 11.3. It is a corrupted application. We upgraded 4 weeks ago. We have an almost non-functioning practice right now because of it.

I've had an open ticket with support for the past 4 weeks. We've lost patients, business, and even staff. It's caused a catastrophe here. Support has not been able to figure out the solution and tells me we need to wait until the next build!

Unacceptable! Used to we could go back a version. Is there anyway to go cloud based and at least get back to functioning?

We can't go back a version as far as they say. Cloud based is extremely expensive and (I've heard) very poorly functioning. Have you used the cloud?

there should be a backup of your data right before the upgrade somewhere so that in theory you could go back but then you would lose all the work done since the upgrade but at least would be functioning

I am not on the cloud, I feel like it is more expensive as well. I know that they say we can no longer go back a version, this was an option in the past but no longer. Very sad that you are having such issues. You should pull the email from where they touted having the new version and send it back to them!

They always run a backup before they change anything. Adding 4 weeks of visits back may be a pain but sounds like this is already a pain.

Thinking about the "Advisory Board" made me want to come back to this post and ask for an update. How are you doing?

ntgi: wondering how you are doing? Did issues ever get fixed? I just got off of tech support and mentioned that the "newer versions" are not stable and he wanted to know who said that, I typed in "other users". I am not brave enough to update to the newest version based off of what I have read here.

I would never upgrade until it is absolutely necessary. And, I know that many people don't have a server setup and, thus likely, no VMs. There is really no excuse if you're not using VMs if you are using the product on your machine. Virtual machines give you MULTIPLE advantages over running directly on Windows. Checkpoints would have saved you a lot of time testing the new program. Yes, it would good, almost necessary to have a real server, yes you would have to purchase Windows Server 2022 Standard or at least 2019. I am believing that 2016 would but I know that a 2019 and 2022 license would give you licenses of two VMs. Yes, you would likely need someone as an IT to set it up or James but it is a physician's office and your data is paramount.

Bert points out some of the advantages of virtualization that I have preached on here many times. Every client I have met from this forum had a bare-metal installation of Windows. Before I came along, any upgrade they did was all or nothing. Today, they have lots of options such as restoring from a snapshot or from a backup up that they didn't have before. Therefore, upgrades that sour are easier to recover from.
Now we know why I do not support bare-metal installs or AC installed on workstations as servers - lack of flexibility.
As for AC in the cloud, that's something I no longer recommend. I've heard just too many horror stories about it. If you want your data pulled from AC's cloud and onto your own server, reach out to me. I can get you a server that doesn't break the piggy bank and get your network ready for prime time to run your own AC and get you a lot more control over what does what around the office.

Following this topic for a while. The question was asked to ntgi how things are going. We have not seen any response yet. This was supposedly a disaster with the upgrade and ntgi seemed pretty upset about how things went. I had seen that version 11.3 is out but based on the way things went with ntgi I am not going to upgrade yet. This is the whole purpose of the board. It would be good to know if the situation has resolved and what the problem was. If that happened to me I would be pissed. Not acceptable to have to wait for the next upgrade and in the meantime there is disruption of your practice.
