Due to the cost of setting up the ability to e-prescribe controlled meds a couple years ago, and the fact that Dr. Bob prescribes _very_ few of them, we never set that up in AC.

Now Dr. Bob is asking me to revisit that.

I've sent an email to AC support to get the current cost and procedure for setting up e-prescribing of controlled meds, but my question is: Is AC our only option? In other words, can I use another service for that? I understand that doing it through AC's e-prescribe tool would be the simplest because there's an established interface. But, since Dr. Bob does not prescribe many controlled meds at all, I'd like to see if there are any more cost-effective options.

There are freestanding eprescribe options that include EPCS. I have been using Veradigm, they are increasing pricing in April, $59/month.
