Does anyone use a Batch file to close AC? We use RDC to connect to our Server. I have users who like to leave at the end of their shift without closing AC. Their session on the server remains active and according to my IT, this may be a problem (potential for hackers, data loss...). I'd like to create a task or have a batch file shut AC down appropriately (not forcibly) if a user is idle for a certain amount of time. Once AC is shut down, I believe a policy can be placed on the server to shut down the user's session.

Any suggestions?
Thank you,
Aaron Way

Sorry you are not getting any input. I have no idea how to help, I think it would be something James or Sandeep might be able to help.

I assume you mean Remote Desktop Connection. You can set your Gateway server to close idle connections after so many minutes. You also have such settings for Remote Session Host (RDC) using Group Policy.

Those settings will force a connection to disconnect after ever how many minutes you choose. If the user does not log back on, they will be logged off after another set of minutes you choose.

It is acceptable to close AC this way and you will not have any data loss.

The below screenshot shows the settings you can use on your RDC server.
