When faxing to other providers my chart notes from AC through my fax server or printing out and using a stand alone fax, recipients complaint of not able to read the Name, DOB, and DOS info. This is because AC uses a gray "highlight box" around this info. Is there a way to turn off the "highlight box" so this info is clearer when faxed?

Unfortunately not all recipients have secure web email which would take the place of faxing.

I do not think there is... but I agree, it would be a useful - or dare I say, IMPORTANT feature for those of us who regularly send notes to others via fax.

One thing you could do is "print notes and encounters by date range", the formatting on the resulting document greys out other wording, but not the patient names/DOB.

Thank you for responses. AC should fix this. Having a gray box around text is not useful and only serves to obscure the text when sending via fax. Hospitals, insurance companies, and clinics still use faxes. It is annoying to get calls asking for a "clearer" copy. My staff has resorted to hand writing the info above the box. Thanks AC for unprofessional looking documentation.
