Is it possible to maintain more than one pharmacy with AC v11 or later, with one notated as the prefered? Recall that this capability was there with earlier versions and amiss with V11.
I talked to AC support. Looks like teh capability is there in AC 11 and later. I just did not know on how to activate. After selecting anadditional pharmacy, all i needed to do was save demography. I was skippingthat step and was not able to save additinla pharmacies so thought was an AC issue.
I think the easiest way to add a pharmacy is after prescribing the medication. Just after the prepare script step, the medication is in the "Pending Medications" box, with a Magnifying glass next to the current pharmacy. The magnifying glass can be right clicked which pulls up another screen with the pharmacies used in the past or a new one can be added. You can send different scripts to different pharmacies using this box or check the box "Pharmacy is for all Pending Meds" as well as changed the preferred pharmacy from this screen. This is new to Version 11 and a great addition. Much easier than going to demographics.
I think you can only have 5 pharmacies listed. After 5 you will start getting an error code when prescribing. As a side note, you can only have 100 diagnosis in a chart!!!! Had a partner that had patients with this many diagnosis, that's how I know!
