How old are you?

How long do you plan to practice?

I am 65, Lord willing until about 72.

OK I'll bite
just turned 70, still think I can hit a fastball but the knees are done so no more making a fool of myself on the baseball field against younger guys
got 3 more years on my office lease so looks like working till 73

Just turned 51, bought the building and moved in 2 years ago, trying to get kids through college, not sure how long to work, I guess time will tell.

I'm 47. Hoping to hang on at least 20 more years.

I actually had not given this much thought until the pandemic.
I will be turning 65 and I love what I do. But I also love to do a lot of other things.
I own the buildings where my office is located and just discovered that one is not worth much money because of the absurdly high taxes in the area. (I could probably rent a nice office for the tax payment)
That would be part of my retirement plan. Soooooo, back to the drawing board.

At 65, I planned to keep working for offices that have computer problems or are planning to acquire them.

My retirement last March was unplanned and due to an oncoming elderly driver turning left and hitting me head-on on my bicycle.

Obviously, I should have planned better, so I put lots of effort into scheduling more surgery.

(Well, the surgeon told me in September that Nov. 18th was the soonest that it could be done, but writing it on my calendar counts as planning, doesn't it?)

Unfortunately, the hospital cancelled all elective surgery yesterday until some unspecified time next year.

So some of my former clients may be unwillingly joining me in retirement, but a little more gracefully.
