There is no functionality difference between the 2 versions. Its mainly performance and stability fixes that have been changed behind the scenes to help with some of the crashing issues.

ok. good. we have had random crashes. weird ones that are not reproducible. maybe new version will help. hope it also fixes the main screen going full screen after close out or forward a chart to inbox. very annoying.
no problems installing 11.1.4 over 11.1.2 today other than the time with the server clients went quick I'll be running mine tomorrow let's see if less crashes, funny can't find any release notes on 11.1.4 however, anyone find them?

Crashes as program shut down, disappeared off screen had to restart. Often would be proceeded by a prolonged pause/freeze. Interestingly yesterday I had a pause/freeze working in prescribing (where often would be an area that produced a crash) but it recovered and no crash and AC carried on. ? sounds like a fix in 'Error handling'. I better stop here and not show anymore of my programming ignorance.
The so called "crashes" have been increasing. All of a sudden an error message will show up stating that an error occurred with an OK. When "OK " is clicked the program disappears. You would then have to start the program again. Happens a lot lately to the point you wonder why we should put up with it. The freezes occur infrequently and I have realized that if the program is not shut down overnight' it will predictably do this: the program slows down a lot and when closing the note it would save the note, but become unresponsive. All of a sudden the dreaded error message appears and the program closes. I now know to restart AC before doing anything if the program has been open overnight. I am currently on version 11.1.1

Hi Koby,
Just to be sure, this is what HAD been happening before the latest upgrade? Has it happened since the upgrade to 11.1.4?
Thanks

Hi Raj,
I believe this issue is the reason for the 11.1.4 upgrade. I am watching this thread for reports.
Thanks

Que up 'All things must pass" Working on a patient chart Saturday morning when...click....pause.....CRASH...AC gone off the screen, out to lunch, hiding amongst the bushes. Looked up the crash report and the ? good news is it looks like different modules were the cause compared to crashes in previous versions. Plan on sending the crash reports to support but for now my suggestion.... reboot often.
Upgraded to 11.1.4 because 11.1.2 is awful! Everything went fine until I started updating my local desktop and got this error message:
could not retrieve statuses of Amazing Charts windows services on Main computer. You may want to check the services to ensure that they are running properly, as medication and pharmacy updates along with other automated processes could be impacted
I have put a ticket into tech support but any ideas here??
Type Windows Services into search it should bring up Services App, near the top of the list will be the Amazing Charts Services likely one of them not running(who knows why?) click on the one not running, will bring up option to restart click restart and go.

Raj, it's kind of like the pcp dermatology saying, "If it is wet, dry it; if dry, wet it; if on steroids, take them off; if not on steroids, put them on."
If you are on a stable version and you hear the newest one is buggy, stay with the same version. But, if you are on a version with issues, and you hear the newest one may be a fix or even if there is a possibility, then upgrade.
Sometimes those "windows services" aren't there. They must be installed when AC is installed. So, sometimes you can't find them under services.msc. So, it is possible that installing again would help.
As I just learned, you can go to Settings/SYSTEM(apps); click as though you are going to uninstall it, but select modify. This will go through and actually install it again.
A couple of things about the script writer. Some have already been mentioned.
1. Please, please get Surescripts to either let us change the order or at least put tablet, capsule and milliliter at the top (for the pediatricians). 95% of what we write will be covered by those. It is stupid to have to slide down to tablet. Oh yes, the rest of my scripts are gallons. I guess gallons if for Go-Lytely.
2. When you hover over the medication when it is getting prepared, you do get the pharmacy information. But, 95% of the time, I have already clicked it. You then are screwed if you want to know what pharmacy you are sending it to. Some of the answers from tech and development is how to make room for the script. It is interesting, because if you click on the magnifying glass, the script shows as though it is prepared to b e sent and it has the pharmacy there. It must leave out some information like that "all important" start a PA. But, you can't send from there. You can only click OK.
Upgraded to 11.1.4 on Sunday. Maybe its too early, but ONLY had one crash on laptop this morning. I believe it happened because I "double-clicked" 2 times to open a chart. So far did not have to restart AC on my workstation. Looking good so-far.

@PaulE, there is no auto update feature in AC, at least not at this time, I think I read somewhere on here that it is in the works which would be great, I wish that AC would at least put out an alert when a new version is available, like the yellow warning for the prescribing
Having issues installing it on a machine with new Windows 11 install. The installer gives an error "Unknown failure occurred attempting to cache a file" It appears to be related to MSXML.MSI. Has anyone else had similar issues with Windows aa and AC installer?
I sent you the file via your email before you can install AC on Win11. It will say msxml.ism (the extension will be backwards. You will need to download the file and change it to msxml.msi.
Takes about 10 seconds to run and you should be all set.
I ran into the same issue when I tried to install AC 11.1.2 on a new PC in our office yesterday ("...failure occurred attempting to cache a file...msxml.msi").
Where can I obtain msxml.msi? I tried looking on other PCs in our office, but I couldn't find it. (I'm presuming it's an install file that got deleted after previous AC version installs.) I also looked online, but there are numerous versions available for download, and I don't know which is the proper one.
