Hi everyone,

This thread is to thank James, and to recommend him for IT support.

Over the last year or so, we have been going through the same struggles that have been posted numerous times on this board. Stay with Amazing Charts? If so, local server versus cloud? And so forth. We decided to stay with locally hosted AC.

We were almost ready to proceed with a new server last fall. For various reasons this did not work out, then Covid came, affecting our staff, office flow, and office finances. So, when it came time to have the mandatory upgrade to AC version 11, we were still on our old server.

That attempted installation was a disaster, AC support was extraordinarily helpful, but it became clear that we had an urgent need for a new server.

Another board user recommended James Summerlin (James NT), who has been on this board as long as I can remember. I actually did not think that he did general IT work, but I called him and he has been extraordinarily helpful.

In a very timely fashion, and at quite a bit less expense than I anticipated, we are now on a very fast server running Server 2019. So hopefully this will be good for about 7 years, which is my guess for time left in practice.

James has been a pleasure to deal with. He is extremely bright and knowledgeable, but also quite down to earth. He is also very very cost conscious.

The only drawback is that he speaks Southern, we Yankees may need a translator….

Thank you James!

Dr. Nallin,

Your words are too kind. Thank you very much for the opportunity to work with you and your practice. You guys are excellent to work with.

And yes, my Southern Drawl does tend to confuse your northerners and most westerners. smile

I would love to share my story as well. Back in 2012, I had two different databases in my office for two separate practices - one for gastroenterology (myself) and one for rheumatology (my wife). We decided to merge two practices into one practice for the economic, logistic and practical reasons and called AC support. We were told that it was NOT POSSIBLE to merge two databases into one. I then reached out to James. He worked remotely and converted an IMPOSSIBLE to POSSIBLE. He was very courteous, polite, respectful, cost conscious and a real pleasure to work with. He helped me out in such a desperate situation where I was seriously thinking of going to another EHR just so to keep two practices together under one practice. Since then, 9 years later, me and my wife, both are using AC in one combined practice database. All of this was not doable without James!

Hats off to James!

Thank you James!

Dr. Qaiser,

Yes, I do indeed remember the fun we had merging those two databases. I had never done that with AC before and when you presented me with the challenge, I couldn't resist. Thank you so much for the kind words!

I hope you and your wonderful wife are successful and may fortune always favor you both!

I still love his ledge story from the hotel, but he has put it out of his mind due to the PTSD. smile

@Bert,

Yes, the ledge story. That one moment allowed me to acquire more PTSD than both motorcycle accidents combined. And the three months I had the shingles where the pain dial was turned to 11.

My therapist bought a new Corvette that year and has always been super nice to me. Almost as if I bought him that Corvette..........

Tried to work with James on a deal recently and he was very confident he could get the job done. He spent a lot of phone time and emails between myself and a former partner. She decided not to use his services and backed out but he never complained and wished us both well. He had some great advice and did not charge a penny for the time spent. I want to thank him publicly for being a stand up guy willing to help us with our computing issues. I am sure we will do business at some time in the future. As a side note, I think the former partner spent more on ink and paper supplies, not to mention time, to get charts than James was going to charge to help her get electronic copies!

James was EXTREMELY helpful in accessing my patient charts from AC, converted them all to .pdf files which will greatly facilitate uploading their charts into my new EHR. I can recommend him without reservation.

I had the same good luck with JamesNT several years ago.

A client with two sites had me go through all the fuss to arrange for JamesNT to merge two AC databases.

At the last moment the doctor was shocked to learn that if we mailed the gigantic pair of databases on USB drives after the close of business Friday, the enormous merged database would not arrive from across the country until Monday and have to be restored at two sites.

Heavens! The two offices would have had to prepare to use paper for a whole day!

So the office bailed and I had to apologize for wasting JamesNT's time, but he was just as nice to me about the fiasco as he was to ChrisFNP.

So another thumbs up!

Cheers,

Carl Fogel

Exceptional Work and Outstanding Service by James Summerlin of Data Integration Solutions!

I recently had an urgent issue with my connection to the Amazing Charts database. Having used Amazing Charts for 15 years, I understand the intricacies involved, but this issue had me stumped. Thankfully, I reached out to James Summerlin (James NT) of Data Integration Solutions (dataintegrationsolutions.net). His swift response, technical expertise, and a clear understanding of the problem were second to none.

James not only identified the root of the errors but fixed them with efficiency and precision. His professionalism was outstanding, and his kind and pleasant demeanor made the entire experience stress-free.

I wholeheartedly recommend James Summerlin and the team at Data Integration Solutions for any IT needs. They are truly lifesavers in the digital realm.

Warm regards,
