I have installed a new PDF editor software and it's set as the default PDF app (windows 10). But Imported Items still stuck on the old PDF software in the preview window. If I right click and click open in the default PDF, it does open in the new PDF app. How do I get the preview window to use the new PDF app? I don't want to uninstall the old PDF app yet.

Hi Serene, Other posters may be able to help you better if you specify which two PDF editors are causing trouble. It may be an AC setting, not something in the PDF editor itself, but this thread may suggest an answer: https://acusersforum.com/ub/ubbthre...der-after-new-update-this-week#Post63126Cheers, Carl Fogel

Hi Carl, the old software is Foxit Phantom and the new one is PDFElement. I think I'll just go ahead and remove Foxit. Seems the easiest solution since I don't see any similar file association settings in the new app. Thank you!

Have you tried calling Foxit support?

That would have been a smart thing to do. Didn't think of that. but anyway I'm back to using foxit reader. I tried several pdf programs and only foxit and acrobat works with showing imported items in the preview pane correctly.
