I've switched the board over to all new members have to be approved, and also turned on "CAPTCHA" - you know, those letters in wavy lines that Yahoo and others use to prevent bots from signing up on forums. Seems we've been discovered, and we've had TWO definite bots and one I'm not sure about try to invade our little community. We've also had a "Warz" site "join".. and he's booted. Visiting the "Warz" site would have been bad - the page is loaded with viruses, and this was the guy's "home" page, with his occupation listed as "cheap software". Yeah, somehow I don't think a productive member of our friendly little community.
ALL people applying to be members of the board MUST have a verifiable e-mail address. Anyone who's e-mail doesn't verify after 5 days will have their attempt at membership deleted.
