Would anyone know the password to create a .bak copy of my SQL database under Amazing Utilities? I am just assuming that it is not practice specific. I have not been able to get through to support and I need to provide the file to Medent, because I am going to dump this program. Unfortunately, it requires an administrative password. I did create a AmazingCharts-pre-utilities.bak file just by running the database optimizer (it automatically backs up the database before optimizing), but I am not sure that it is the same file that would be created by the other backup routine. I have just been so frustrated with AC, as I know many of you have been. But we are now consolidating multiple practices into a group and it was decided the Medent was the best choice since several of the practices already use it and like it. I appreciate any input. Thanks!

It will depend on what version of AC your are using.
I believe (but am not sure when it started) that V9 and above are practice specific and have to be unlocked by AC. I know this is the case for V10 and 11
Earlier versions had a single password. I'm sure there are folks around here who may know the password, but I do not.

Hi Ed,

If you run into problems with the SQL side of AC, your best bet is to get in touch with JamesNT.

You can get his contact info from posts like this:
