So my original partner retired and someone took over her side of the practice paying her a fee for this privilege. This was about 2 years ago. Now the new "partner" (we bill separately but share expenses and AC access) wants to breakout on her own and wants to take her charts from AC with her. I agree that she purchased these from the previous provider.

My problem is AC is telling us her only two options are that she gets a copy of all charts which will include all of my patients, most she has never seen, or they can separate her patients and supply just the CCDA's (demographics, meds, allergies, and problem list). I don't like either of these options. With the first option I don't think she has a right to my charts and with the second I don't feel she gets the information she needs, example, all of the previous visits.

Does anyone know how to extract only one provider's charts from AC in a 2 provider setup?

Well James tried, GREAT GUY, recommend if someone else has something similar. The moving partner decided not to go the route of trying to get charts and is allowing AC tech support to move what they can how they can.
