So has anyone figured out where this form to add a pin for EPCS is or will it just pop up tonight at 10PM? Kind of a useless email from AC, or maybe I'm just too critical of half baked info. Presume you all got the email yesterday about it.
I suppose, except for the fact that one has to already be logged into a certified EHR then already have a secong factor ID ie the Authy App on cell phone, now have to play the game of entering a 6 digit number into Authy App (while the short timer is running) after entering a pin into EPCS. WTF just go to retinal scans already. Wonder if there is any data on number of illegal/hacked controlled substance Rx's by the EPCS system that led to this. Remember somewhere/somebody extolling to 'Save clicks'

Hi Koby,
You lost me on that one. Don't get me wrong. I absolutely HATE the pin mainly because it actually does CHANGE the workflow. I am going to change my pin number to 1111, so I can just use my left hand. Didn't about that when I made my usual.
But, you have all day to enter the PIN, then the authy app doesn't require a 6-digit number. You just click the button in NC and you click on the Authy App. It actually is much faster now. One used to have to "wake" it up in the morning. It doesn't give you a lot of time I will agree, but usually enough.
So I didn't do this.... but I know of someone who knows someone who changed their PIN to 2-4-3-6. Quick one hand PIN entering ability. Not sure, but the friend of the friend says you can't do the same number twice in a row and you can't use four numbers in a row. Best idea I ever...ummm....heard of.
