I've been sort of noticing that I've been stuck at 959 posts for quite some time now. This is my third posting of the morning at least and It'll be interesting to see if at least starting a new thread counts for something.

Seeing how Adam wants to play can you top this, and my posts tend to be more detailed and involved, I need each and everyone to count....

What gives here????
confused

Paul,
The Amazing Charts User Board can tell when a poster is simply posting to get his/her numbers up, or posting to actually list something of value. Kind of like what my parents said about Santa (forgive the analogy because I know you are a NJB), but he's always watching and knows when someone is naughty or nice.

So, my post will count because it's educational. Your 3 posts on this thread won't count b/c they are meant to help you break 1,000 posts and the AC bosses are watching. smile

<<Just joking>>

Keep up the great posts Paul. Personally, I like the really long ones you write. These little short ones just aren't your style. Too bad they don't count by the WORD or you would be LIGHTYEARS ahead of my friend Bert. Good night and God bless.

You mean Bert who writes five one sentence replies just to "pump up" his numbers??? You missed some of his best shananagans before you got here... He was so psych'ed to get to 1K. But hey look at how he helped that other lady find her lost data the other night... That's our Bert.

Bert's a good guy, he's a brother to me. I'll owe him forever for helping investigate my wife's illness. Too bad his information didn't save her life. That's not the point however, the point is that his efforts and his care gave her the HOPE that she would survive. It also let her know that someone besides me really truly cared. He's a truly good person, good spirit.

That he certainly is... I really wish you guys were closer to us. It would be so neat to hang out from time to time and do some of this face to face.

FYI, it seems pretty obvious that he feels quite the same way about you and your friendship. Well, you take good care of old Bert for us, I'm sure you will. Have a great night...

You wish we were closer, that's very sweet.
I'll tell you one thing about Bert, and this is fact not exaggeration. Even if you lived right next door to him, since he is on his computer so much you would see him exactly as much as you see him now. He is so dedicated to that thing, he barely leaves the office long enough to go home to sleep and he is back at it the next day.
God love him, he needs a vacation. This ACUC is going to be good for him.

I think all of us who have been helped by Bert (and that is a bunch of us) should treat him to a full body massage in Branson...masseuse or masseur, his choice (not that it really matters, as Paul says.)
And, by the way, I have been meaning to tell Brian, some of that goat cheese and Chateau Aux Arc Chardonnay or Keels Creek Chambourcin would make for a terrific "chit chat" session one night.

Now that's a good one Vinny. So you gave up the goods, huh? You finally revealed yourself? I've wondered all my life where Santa lived and who he was. YOU are SANTA!!

Hey Vinny (sorry I mean Santa), can I have a Jeep Wrangler for Christmas?

I'll congratulate you now for breaking 1,000. For the record, your post count at this exact moment in time is 999. But you deserve it. You joined an elite club tonight.

Cheers NJB!!

And that is exactly what I am!!! A nice jewish boy from Da Bronx. At least I finally got a good line on my favorite Kosher garlic pickles. So fresh with natural salts and preservatives that they must be shipped cold and kept in the refridgerated section. Ba Tampte, they are totally awesome! The best hands down.

I finally got away from my computer to get back to the boards. So, I finally read this thread.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Thanks Adam. And, you are going to let me borrow a laptop for ACUC, aren't you?

Bert,
If you really want a laptop I have been haunting the Dell refurb site and have scored some really great equipment the last week or so. Matter of fact I'm writing to you as we speak on my new D830 laptop. Nice wide screen, titanium case, duel core chip with 4 gigs of Ram, yes 4 gigs! And I got the XP Vista cross, down grade too. So I have XP Pro installed and it's back up media, as well as I am the legal owner of a copy of Vista Business so if and when Vista decides to grow-up and play nicely with it friends no less it's older brother XP, I can install Vista. And if not I'm the legal owner of both. Oh and for a lousy 59 bucks or something like that I extended the NDB support including accidental damage.

So for barely $1200 bucks I got a machine that screams! And then you should see the two towers I bought... Can you say Xeon quad core, because I sure can... Wow you should see this monster. Also 4 gigs of RAM and four little cores rockin' away in task manager, what a beautiful thing and yes the same extended coverage and OS licensing too! I even went a bought a second tower to do work from and at home on. All I need is to bump the graphics card and I'll be editing Nancy's TV spots without a snag.

They are as they are, no realy bumping or customizing them as they are returns or scratch and dents, but who cares. For half the price of their regular retail price I scored these kick@$$ babies that'll last us for years... It'll take a lot of software programing to out grow these machines... My new towers are probably faster than even Bert's 5.7 Hemi!!!

So now that I'm confident the this networking issue is done with, next deal is to swap the AC database onto this new tower and reset the path on all the other machines around the office. I dare the girls to bitch at me now about the speed of the network. Can you see me smiling over the fiber and coax???
