We now have the ability to export all data to PDF. Here's how it works:
Step 1: Back up your SQL Server databases and imported items folder to an Apricorn secure drive. Do NOT use AC backup. If you aren't sure how do do SQL Server backups, I can do it for you remotely using Team Viewer.
Step 2: Ship Apricorn drive to me after we sign all the usual NDAs. Don't forget I need to the code to the Apricorn drive.
Step 3. I run the process that takes the problem list, immunization list, SOAP notes, meds list, etc, and all files in imported items, converts it all to a PDF file per patient that could be a dozen to hundreds of pages long per patient, and puts that PDF in a folder named after the patient ID.
Step 4. I return Apricorn drive to you with your original data intact and a PatientExport folder with the PDF files.
Step 5. You send me a Brinks truck of gold bullion.

If you are closing your practice because of retirement or whatever and are not selling it to anyone, in order to adhere to the 7 year rule you may wish to contact Drew Szmuc at Desert River Solutions to host your data for you for 7 years at a reasonable price. This way, patients and their new doctors can get your notes without bothering you as you enjoy your retirement.
