So I'm thinking of expanding, partly because the Texas investors make me feel like i'm passing up free cookies. I am thinking a multi site clinic would best be served by having their own servers (main computers) and use VPN when they need to see a patient from a different clinic. Another option might be running AC from a cloud server (AWS) but I expect latency would be too high. Any thoughts? Chime in Sandeep or JamesNT, please, as I expect you would have some insight on this. And, no, I wouldn't trust the AC cloud version yet, the pricing is still out of reach and I am not certain of the reliability, though I am certain it is improving.

Yep a lot of insurance companies will invest to expand practices in exchange for seeing more of their patients. Usually they negotiate a lower rate too.

You're better off with one central server usually. Maintaining 3 separate systems can be a headache. It really depends on location but Texas has a lot flat land so you may want to look at PtP networking between the offices.

Good to know! The trick is to research Wireless Internet Service Providers in your area. They have the expertise to deploy and install these PtP connections. They work at ranges up to 40-50 miles. Beats relying on the Internet. Next best thing is to have multiple Internet connections at your locations. Much easier than it used to be with many cellular companies (Verizon, ATT, etc) offering 4G hotspots.
