I have noted that the AC's directory on the server has a lot of "temporary" import files. They are getting to be a lot. How are these files placed there and why are they not filed in the IMPORT folders. Since they are labeled as "temporary" are they automatically deleted? If I delete them manually, am I deleting patient imported files for good. Would appreciate any answers.

Just one of many articles out there. Tim Fisher is pretty dependable though. I can't think of too many temp files you can't delete. But, you can delete those. They were likely made "temporarily" during an install of an application or Windows doing its thing. Of course, you can't go wrong with an app like CCleaner, which will clean anything you want and tell you how much space you freed up.

Do NOT delete files from the c:\windows\winsxs directory. Leave them alone.

JamesNT

Good point. I wouldn't do anything with any file or folder in Winsxs. Of course, Ccleaner likely wouldn't either.

What about log files in AC?

I've got a ton of them and never had a good answer as to what can be deleted there

The patient's expectation is that you have all the answers, sometimes they just don't like the answer you have for them
