Well, I guess AC could have said they would close the board when there were 4500 users rather than Friday. I just noticed that.

Reason being I was going to say normally a general question would be asked of a few more users than what are here now. But, I am working on that.

Anyway, I suppose I could ask everyone but especially those who use Medware and AC. (kinda goes without saying that they would use AC)

So we use Medware for our billing and scheduling software. We will definitely be keeping it as our billing software for now. I have used Medisoft in the past, and it seems this companies spend months designing the billing and then a week developing the scheduler as an afterthought.

As far as scheduling Medware has its advantages over AC's scheduler -- being a bit more robust -- and AC has its advantages. I was just thinking of using the reminders for contacting patients, but the one AC users would have to be used with AC's scheduler. Just wondering if anyone had any ideas on this because it would be a rather big step.

What's the status of Medware, I thought it was no longer sold.
I saw it on sourceforge but no files

Yeah, they changed to a new name. Still works just not adding Medicare stuff.

First, I meant not upgrade new Medicare.

I would say it is

eMedware > Sage > Vitera > Greenway

or

eMedware > Sage > Greenway > Vitera

Something

Hi Bert. We've never used Medware but we did use our billing software scheduler for a while. It had a lot more functions than AC's but ultimately, we switched back to AC. It's just easier because many times, we have to check the patient's past encounters (or other notes) while making the appointment. I hate having to manually block appointment times in AC but it was too much trouble to keep switching between 2 programs. We do not use the checkin/check-out buttons in. We do use the appointment verified button so that the name shows up bold in the schedule. Also we have a dummy provider so we're looking at 2 columns: one for well visit and one for sick.

Thanks Serene,

That is helpful information. It seems you were going through the same questions/strategy. It's a good idea with the dummy physician.

I just have this feeling that the staff would never go there. frown
