I am sure this has come up before. But, when you send a prescription you come to a pharmacy. You send the script, and it goes to the pharmacy listed. But, as you know, you can have as many pharmacies that you want. So a patient decides to use a different pharmacy because it is closer to home. Another pharmacy is a duplicate of one of the others.

The patient then tells you that Walgreens is the correct pharmacy. They do not plan on using CVS again. Plus, there is a duplicate of Walgreens. So you would like to get rid of two of them. But, you are running behind and are tired, and don't really feel like running over to the Demographics page and using the preferred pharmacy dropdown list to delete the pharmacies.

I will accept it if this just can't be done. But, shouldn't there be a way to delete the pharmacies directly in the prescription writer?

Yes, that would be great, it's a pain to go to demographics to change the pharmacy.

Me too. Request ability to delete or change pharmacy from Rx screen.

It's one of those things that is so obvious, I guess it's not obvious:

You are at the prescription screen. You want to delete a pharmacy.

Development meeting:

What place in AC should the user be to delete a pharmacy?
The prescription writer pager or
The demographics page

It's on the list of improvements. There are a few areas of our "preferred" pharmacy workflow that could use some improvements. So there is a practically worthless feature that I found playing around here...If you uncheck the "Save selected as Preferred" box and then Transmit it removes that pharmacy from the list. Good for a one and done but you have to transmit it first. This is just a byproduct of the feature..it was not designed to do that specifically.
